I am the owner of K. Lum Consulting and refer to myself as a “Business Co-Pilot”. I support leaders who are growing or elevating their businesses and teams. My services include one-on-one business coaching, facilitated planning sessions, custom training development, employee training and program development & implementation. I am based in beautiful Bozeman, Montana, and I work with individuals and teams throughout the country.


Present me with a project and mission that reflects a strong foundation and untapped potential, and I will be a stand-out partner in your team’s success. With 20 years of facilitation experience, my training clients include non-profit organizations, small and large businesses and several luxury service and high-end brands. As a business coach, I support clients to prioritize working ON their business, rather than just working IN it; they gain perspective, heightened awareness and actionable steps to improve, scale and succeed.

I am passionate about empowering others and strive to bring a fresh style and perspective to all of my programs and collaborations. I am a supporter of the arts, an advocate for life-skills training for youth, a tad addicted to fly-fishing and don’t miss a chance to jump on the trampoline with my daughter at sunset.


I have led trainings and developed interactive learning materials for an array of companies including, Nextel Communications, Charles Schwab, Continental Airlines, Direct Focus, Inc., Pride Industries, and NPower. During my nine years as an executive at Moonlight Basin Resort in Big Sky, Montana, I played a pivotal role in reviving the brand and cultivating the service culture that became part of the company’s marketing promise. I developed "Moonlight University”, the company’s signature employee and leadership training program. Later, when asked to take over Sales & Marketing, my team deployed creative marketing and PR strategies that resulted in record-breaking sales for the resort in both lift products and overall resort revenues. Other resort and tourism experience spans both the cruise industry for Holland America Cruise Line and Windstar Cruises, as well as community leadership roles in both regional and national marketing and public relations for Big Sky, Montana. In addition to the resort and tourism industry, I have a passion for (and 20 years experience) in training and facilitation in the areas of management, customer service, relationship sales and fostering healthy team culture for an array of companies and non-profits across the country.
