People management is some of the most rewarding and demanding work we will tackle in our careers. During this course, we will break down essential management principles and equip you with practical tools to navigate real-world management challenges. We will delve into the advantages and methods required to become an effective coach, mentor, and leader by learning strategies to effectively grow and develop your team using a coaching style to management.
This is a great course for both new and experienced leaders. If you are new to management, you will be introduced to key fundamentals that will support you in being effective. If you are an experienced supervisor, manager or director, this course provides new approaches to level up your skills and navigate challenging aspects of leadership.
Course Objectives:
Take time to be thoughtful about your approach to leadership
Understand what a “coach-approach” to leadership looks like
Assess your current skills as a leader and where you would like to develop
Learn and apply four key coaching principles:
Building & maintaining trust and respect
Setting clear expectations
Effective feedback
Tapping into motivation
About the Trainer:
Karen brings extensive experience in high-end guest and client service in a variety of industries, as well as senior-level team and project management. She has held an executive position at Moonlight Basin Resort in Big Sky, Montana, as well as roles with Holland America Cruise Line and Windstar Cruises. She has also served in community leadership roles in both regional and national marketing and public relations for Big Sky, Montana. Additionally, Karen has extensive experience as a leadership and service trainer for an array of companies and non-profits across the country.
